Hayley and Garrett’s magical day had been planned very well (I helped with the timeline), and Hayley had given all her attention to details, so when Friday came, a little rain wasn’t going to ruin the day.  No ma’am!  A lot of rain wasn’t going to ruin it either, for that matter.  And that’s what we had all the way up until just before the ceremony — lots of rain.  What did we do about it?  We beat it, that’s what we did.  Hayley got ready at the beautiful Davenport Hotel, and we decided to stay there and shoot most of the portraits rather than going outside.  That was Hayley’s call.  Shooting outside would have been fine, but I want my brides to always get what they want, and this was no exception.  We did get to have the first look in a downpour, so I’m happy.  So we had a beautiful building in which to shoot, and then we topped it off with a gorgeous wedding venue, the Chateau Rive at the Flour Mill.  This place is one of my favorite venues in Spokane.  It has beauty and great light outside.  The inside is severely light deprived, but when you’re shooting with the superb Nikon D4, it is no matter at all.  Makeup was by the talented Alexa of Kiss and Makeup.
